The Block Diagram for transmitter module

Explanation of Block Diagram

Figure is show about block diagram transmitter module. The voltage to supply circuit comes from adapter. The voltage using is 12vdc. The voltage will through to voltage regulator. An output from voltage regulator is 5vdc and supplies the voltage to PIC. In other word is converting from 12vdc to 5vdc. After PIC have supply, and accept the input from RFID reader to generate the programming. The output from PIC is to transferring to RF transmitter 315 MHz and sends the data to receiver. The output will display on LED. When system is operating, RFID reader detects RFID card. If card detected, transmitter will send RFID data to receiver and blue LED will blink.

The block diagram for receiver module

Explanation of Block Diagram

After receiver module detects data from transmitter. If data detected, red LED will turn off, blue LED will blink and PIC microcontroller will send RFID data to computer. Else, system will up count timer. If timer more or equal to 3 seconds, red LED will turn on and system will send error data to computer.
User need to key in data for train and RFID. Computer detects data from PIC microcontroller. If RFID data in, system will show train name and RFID data on screen. Else, if error data detected, system will show transmitter fail time and date on screen. The connector RS232 and voltage level converter is using to interface between PC and receiver circuit.

Current Technology

Nowadays, the train detection system in Malaysia is still using manual system where the CTC must enter data before the release train for operations. After entering data into the system, then all the information is displayed on the monitor pc as train type, journey time, the name of the driver and others. With using auto train system, the information can be displayed automatically. Concept that is used is when the train through the detector, automatically all the information will be displayed on the pc screen. This system facilitates the monitoring personnel, more systematic and effective. This system can be used for operation and can also be used in the depot area. Supervisors can quickly identify all pertinent information without first patrol.

Project Background

Auto train system is operating using adapter. This system is using transmitter and receiver module to send and receive data, computer interfacing to send data to computer and RFID reader to detect RFID card. When system is operating, RFID reader detects RFID card. If card detected, transmitter will send RFID data to receiver and blue LED will blink. Receiver module detects data from transmitter.
